As we are all aware, Western North Carolina is reeling in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. Thousands of residents are still without power, internet or cellular service and unable to connect with their loved ones. In addition, getting in and out of some of these areas is impossible without aerial support.

CFH continues to serve families who are less likely to have paid sick leave, health insurance, and access to quality healthcare. Harsh economic realities are layered upon the threat of contracting the virus. Donate funds today which will focus on providing shelter, food, medical care, clothing, and assistance with funeral costs that might arise.
Local students need support now more than ever, and you can help from home! Classroom Central has shifted all resources to meet the urgent needs of students in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools to ensure every student has access to the supplies they need to learn from home. Choose from remote volunteer opportunities here.
Many supporters are looking for mindful ways to still support RMH operations and our families. Over the next few weeks, they will experience hardship without access to the volunteer force that they rely on for meals, cleaning and general operations. To ensure that they can continue supporting our families to the best of their ability, please consider a donation to help cover the added cost of meals and other house operations during this time of heightened need:
- CLICK HEREto view their Amazon Wish List.
- Pop Tab Collection. Donate your Pop Tabs as these tiny tabs can make a BIG impact on the familes at RMH. Now is the time to come together (while separate) to do some good. So go ahead and drink those soda pops, local beers, and fizzy waters, but save those tabs! Show us your collection on Facebook. If you are willing to start a collection, we will collect and deliver to the RMH once it is safe to do so. Contact our Pop Tab Ambassador, Amy Albright.
The Food Bank is working with over 800 partner agencies in 24 counties, including local school systems, seniors, and individuals. Their greatest need is for funds to purchase healthy pantry shelf items for food boxes. Donate directly to the agency (only $25 will help provide a seven day nutritionally balanced meal box).
