Finance & Planning

 
Supports the board in its fiduciary duties by providing oversight of the organization's financial health. Key responsibilities include developing and monitoring budgets, reviewing financial statements, and offering financial guidance for strategic decision-making. The committee promotes transparency and accountability for the organization's assets.

Nominations

 

Identifies, recruits and screens candidates for board and leadership positions, focusing on ensuring a well-qualified, diverse and effective board of directors. Their responsibilities include assessing organizational needs, evaluating candidate skills, developing a formal slate, and providing for board succession planning.

Safety & Security

 
A non-profit safety and security committee identifies hazards, develops safety policies if necessary, and educates staff on safety practices by establishing an overall culture of safety and security within the organization.
