Mission Statement 

Recruit by partnering with educational platforms and institutions to create internship and mentorship programs. Educate through BOMA and BOMI classes and other industry seminars, courses, and information. Inspire and renew by offering networking and outreach opportunities. Discover and share best practices and industry updates.

Recent News:


On July 14th, Trane sponsored a lunch and learn " Utilizing AI in Building Systems" which provided some great information on the future business productivity best practices in using AI.  Lunch was provided by Trane.  If you missed it and want more information, please contact Emily Richardson!  

On May 11th, Western Speciality Contractors sponsored a lunch and learn "Inside the Parking Deck: A Hands on Learning Session", which our members enjoyed learning about best practices for maintaining deck longevity and safety and discused how to identify common parking deck problems early.  Lunch was provided by Western Speciality, followed up by an onsite walktrhough to view an actual parking teck, with onsite Q&A expert technical staff.  A take home guide was provided to the participants, if you missed it and want more information, contact Daniele Portal!

March 19th marked the 6th annual Engineering Appreciation party. This year hosts were Joffie, AirTight FaciliTech and EDS Diversified Services!

2025 Events:

The BOMA Engineering Committee would like to thank Valcourt Safety Systems for hosting lunch and providing Rooftop Fall Protection, Liability, and Risk Management training.

Thanks to CBRE for providing meeting space at the Towers at SouthPark for this important training. The winner of the tool raffle was provided by AccuMeasure.

Engineering Committee 

The Engineering Committee is committed to providing a platform dedicated to our Engineering members. Maintenance technicians and building engineers are encouraged to join for FREE, get involved, and benefit from all the resources available to them. We welcome maintenance, engineering, and property management professionals as well as vendors interested in MEP, the trades, and blue tech topics to attend engineering events, luncheons, and shop talks.

Leadership "Shop Talks" 

Leadership meets monthly to discuss latest trends and plan future engineering events. Leaders are necessary to steer the committee and bring value and share knowledge and expertise. 

Representation 

We currently have representation within the Charlotte Market from Cousins, Lincoln Harris, Beacon, CBRE, JLL, Childress Klein, Trinity Partners, Hines, Southern Real Estate, and Northwood Office. If your company is not listed, connect with one of the Engineering Committee leads to get involved so your company can strengthen the committee and industry.
