Join us on October 19 when BOMA hosts members of the Economic Development Commission and Center City Partners (CCCP) for a "State of the City" panel discussion. Business Recruitment & Retention Program Manager, Jenae Valentine and Economic Development Deputy Director ,Christina Thigpen will discuss recent market activity, industry trends and the City's efforts in attracting and retaining companies in today's environment. They will tell us about the team's customized approach to business recruitment and how the City is elevating the #MeetCharlotte campaign, which is an integrated marketing strategy focused on increasing the awareness of Charlotte as a great place to invest, do business and recruit talent.
Emily Cantrell will discuss the RENEW initiative, a collaboration between the City and public/private organizations to provide paid training for careers in fields such as HVAC and Electrical as well as other community-based initiatives such as HIRE Charlotte and Corridors of Opportunity.
Finally, James LaBar, Senior Vice President of economic development for Center City Partners will follow with a look at the core of our city, including an update on return to the workplace efforts, visitor traffic and future happenings for the Central Business District.
