Renewal Policy:

BOMA Greater Charlotte encourages engagement from all members for the purpose of enhancing the overall member experience. It has been widely proven that members who are actively involved in professional organizations receive the most benefits and a greater return on investment through professional development and a strong network. Active participation contributes to the overall success of BOMA Greater Charlotte and will help you receive the greatest value from your membership.

We are fortunate that BOMA Greater Charlotte memberships are in high demand and we currently have a waitlist for Allied members wishing to join. In an effort to grow our association while maintaining the desired balance between Principal and Allied members (60/40), we desire all members to be active and committed to BOMA Greater Charlotte. As such, effective 2018, Allied members must satisfy these requirements to be eligible for membership renewal:

  1. Provide financial support for BOMA Greater Charlotte as an annual sponsor of the association or a sponsor for at least one of the signature events throughout the year.
  2. Attendance at BOMA sponsored functions. The events this year include but are not limited to: Five Luncheons, Two Signature Spring Events, and Two Signature Fall Events, and various Community Service Opportunities.
  3. Encouraged to bring two eligible Principal member candidates to a BOMA function and/or refer a new Principal member for application. This includes Owners, Property Managers, Assistant Property Managers and Building Engineers. Please let our Business Association Executive know that you have guests attending an event.
 

Waitlist policies for Allied Members moving to a new company:

Allied waitlist individuals can be moved to the top of the list if they had been a member with another company for at least 3 years, have actively served on a committee and attended at least 50% of lunches/events in the past. 

Active allied members who change companies may be moved up the waitlist only 1 time over a 2-year period, if meeting the required engagement level previously outlined.
