BOMA Greater Charlotte

Greetings!

As summer begins and the year is half done, I find myself reflecting on the things we've accomplished during the last six months and the great events coming around the corner.

Our Emerging Professionals have been busy with education scholarships, awarding our first annual BOMA International Conference grant to Jema Bravo with Northwood Office and hosting our last TAPS social with thirteen (13) prospective Emerging Professionals in attendance.  Thank you to our raffle sponsors UMC, EDS, and Walden Security.

Speaking of BOMA International's annual Conference and Expo; it is right around the corner and one of the highlights of the year.  There is still time to register and attend.  If you have not been to an international conference before, you are missing out.  We're thrilled to support the Regional TOBY winner Bank of America Plaza as they compete for the highest honor in commercial property management "The Outstanding Building of The Year".

Coming up, another fascinating luncheon where we will learn about "How to Detox from Your Phone", our annual Clay Shoot and the team is working hard to bring you a great Annual Meeting, mark your calendars now!

I hope you have a relaxing, rewarding summer and look forward to seeing you next week.

All the best,
Alexis

Outreach Opportunities

June 27: It's time to cook at Ronald McDonald House Charlotte!

We need 10 volunteers to help at our BOMA sponsored dinner event between 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.  This is an opportunity to cook dinner for deserving families who come to Charlotte to receive the highest level of quality health care for their children while they undergo serious medical treatments.

Ronald McDonald Houses have united in a common purpose - to offer hope, support and love to families struggling with children's illness.  This is indeed a worthy cause for BOMA to support, so we look forward to your help.

Click here to volunteer.  Please sign up by Thursday, June 20th so we have an accurate count of volunteers. Space is limited to only 10 volunteers. If you are unable to register through the link, registration has closed.

July 11:  LOTS of volunteers are needed to help with morning and afternoon painting shifts at Plaza Place, a facility run by Charlotte Family Housing.

Click here for the Doodle Poll to choose your shift; a catered lunch and tour will be provided at 12:00 during the shift change.
