Senior leaders of 14 property management firms that are prominent in the Charlotte region were invited to participate in the Advisory Council and the first meeting of this Advisory Council was held virtually on October 7th.
The meeting was well received by the Council members and discussion was focused on a) greatest value they receive from BOMA Greater Charlotte personally or for their personnel, b) where they would like to see more value or emphasis on BOMA Greater Charlotte programming, c) specific inquiries for the Council by the Board, and d) open discussion and information exchange around topics of COVID-19, diversity and inclusion in property management, and recruiting and developing talent in the property management field.
The Advisory Council will meet at least twice annually, possibly more as specific challenges/needs arise like COVID-19, civil unrest, and advocacy. The information from the Advisory Council meetings will be presented to the Board by the committee for consideration by the Board in its planning and programming. |
