As we all continue to navigate changes in our professional and personal lives, I hope this newsletter finds you and all those you love doing well!

In an effort for our members to stay connected and informed, we are continuing our webinar series every Wednesday at noon through the month of May. This month's topics will focus on how Coronavirus has affected and will affect our operations and building management, along with solutions for those challenges. We've gotten great feedback on our webinars thus far and are planning to continue those for several months to come. The June luncheon will also be presented virtually, but we're hoping (fingers crossed!) to host a drop-in at Byron's on June 16th where our members can pick up lunch to-go. We'll keep you posted!
There are a few updates in case you haven't heard them through the grapevine:
  • The Annual Membership Meeting we hold every fall generally rotates between Charlotte and another city (typically Charleston, SC). This year it was scheduled for Charleston, but due to the current economic environment, the Board of BOMA Greater Charlotte felt the best decision for our members was to move the meeting to Charlotte. Please save the date September 24, 2020. And here's to being back in Charleston in 2021!
  • The BOMA International Conference originally scheduled for June 27th - 29th in Philadelphia has been cancelled and will be held virtually July 7th - 9th.
We didn't want to abandon our Community Outreach during this time, so we've gotten a little creative, starting with a socially distant supply drive for Ronald McDonald House on April 28th (thank you Peter Tanneberger, Frankie Gunnell, Jen Mugnano and McKenzie Brady). Please click here or see below for all of the opportunities to support our community partners, including a volunteer shift at Second Harvest Food Bank on May 13th.

And lastly, whether you are CEO of your own company, working your usual job, juggling homeschool and working from home, or just trying to exercise without a gym -

"Do what you can, with all you have, wherever you are"  Theodore Roosevelt

As global concern over the novel coronavirus (now known as COVID-19) increases, BOMA International is actively working to provide commercial real estate professionals with credible information on how to mitigate the potential health and business impacts. Based on information from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), BOMA International has released a series of guidance documents to help property professionals navigate this public health concern.

BOMA International will continue to monitor this issue as it develops, and resources will be posted regularly to this webpage (www.boma.org/coronavirus). There you will be able to find a variety of webinars and guides to help assist you in moving forward.
