 BOMA GREATER CHARLOTTE
JANUARY 2022 NEWS

[Image]I recently came across an article in the CBJ, that made me reflect on just how grateful we are to be in a thriving real estate market even amongst all the daily challenges we face. As a native Charlottean it is hard at times to see certain landmarks change but could not be prouder of what this city is becoming and exciting knowing that the members of BOMA Greater Charlotte will have a continued role in shaping that future.

While we are all eager to take this organization to the next level in 2022, I believe it is important to take a moment to look back at some key accomplishments of BOMA over the past year.
  • Successfully returned to in-person events the second half of the year and creatively executed on all events throughout the year.
  • Built on the success of the recently established Engineering Committee and held two events.
  • Added a diversity and inclusion committee to the chapter.
  • Continued a wide variety of educational offerings and lunch speakers.
  • Have continued to increase membership year over year and saw the chapter grow by 28 individuals last year taking it to 256 members.
Now as we look towards the upcoming year, I wanted to take a moment to reintroduce our 2022 Board of Directors. This group of individuals has already put in a concerted effort at our recent board retreat to lay the groundwork for a successful year. So, if you ever have any questions, looking to get involved, or just want to expand your network please feel free to reach out to any of us.

We have a full slate of events and educational offerings this year so please make a point to check the website periodically.  I challenge each of you to take that next step and make this the year you get involved!
