 BOMA GREATER CHARLOTTE
FEBRUARY 2022 NEWS
[Image]What a way to start off the BOMA calendar year with over 100 individuals attending the February luncheon! We captured a lot in one event with meaningful discussion from BOMA's International President Henry Chamberlin on the Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion committee which he chairs. Followed by an inspiring conversation from LaToya Faustin, Executive Director with She Built This City who we hope to be a friend of BOMA for years to come.
But lets not forget all the awards and recognition that made this luncheon even more special. Some heartfelt remarks for longstanding member David Corpening who received a Lifetime Membership award from BOMA International. It will be hard pressed to find an individual more deserving of this recognition! While a surprise to her, it was a nice touch to not only recognize Elizabeth Fulk for her FMA designation but gift her a Presidents Gavel on behalf of the organization for her dedication as President over the past two years and what she has brought to BOMA Greater Charlotte.

Finally, we had the pleasure of awarding five Local TOBY Awards to the winners in the following categories.
  • Office Low Rise: Morrocroft Centre (Lincoln Harris)
  • Medical Office: Levine Cancer Institute (Lincoln Harris)
  • Mixed Use: Optimist Hall (Providence Group)
  • Renovated: The Morrison (Spectrum Companies)
  • Industrial: West Point Business Center Bldg I (Link Logistics)
As I step into the President's role this year it is a personal goal of mine to not only drive overall membership but more importantly the participation of our existing members! With that in mind we have come up with a year long campaign where your involvement in BOMA will lead directly towards supporting our local outreach partners at year end.

For every Principal Member that attends 5+ events throughout the year BOMA Greater Charlotte will donate $25 dollars to our outreach partners at year end!

With all the events offered throughout the year this only equates to about half the events, so please keep the momentum running from this last luncheon and look forward to seeing you at the next event.
As always......check the website!
