As you may have heard, Charlotte will be hosting the BOMA SRC in April of 2027! We need leaders and committee members to participate in the planning of this event! It will be 3 nights, starting with a Thursday night - Saturday night. Member involvement will make this event successful and Charlotte shine!
Please review and select one or many committees that are of interest to you as we will be putting together some kick off meetings later this year.

Welcome night (Thursday night) and Networking event (Friday night)
  • Find location to accommodate based on needs
  • Decision on theme/décor 
  • Decision on Catering
  • Coordinate volunteers
Education
  • Decide agenda, including topics, timing
  • Find and Contract with Speakers, including reviewing and obtaining any materials or presentations
  • Plan out space needs with hotel/registration
  • Determine and coordinate theme/signage needs

Hotel / Registration

  • Find and negotiate hotel (in process with leadership)
  • Create registration schedule
  • Coordinate volunteers
  • Be the "go to" throughout SRC for hotel and registration needs

Marketing / SRC Website & App 

  • Work with webmaster on SRC website and app (in process with Morphogine/Digital Trooper)
  • Obtain logos from sponsors
  • Create social media plan, including set up, access and plan to execute leading up to, during and after event
  • Brochures and other print needs, including signage
  • Based on theme, coordinate the order of T-Shirts for Registrants and Volunteers

Signage

  • Order and / or create brochures and other print needs, including signage
  • Point person to place and remove all signage
Sponsorship
  • Reach out to vendors to get sponsorships
  • Collect sponsorship forms and information to include payments
TOBY
  • Determine location at hotel
  • Coordinate with TOBY Chairs from each region on needs
  • Determine the schedule for the evening's events
  • Find and Contract an emcee or DJ for the night
  • Decide on décor / theme
  • Research and contract with band/music 
  • Coordinate with hotel work on catering needs for the night
Tradeshow
  • Reach out to vendors for commitments to participate
  • Coordinate with hotel and leadership on timeframe, space in hotel
  • Coordinate needs for tables, chairs and any other needs from hotel
  • Point person for day of tradeshow
